The Commercial Construction Superintendent will oversee medium-sized teams of 10 to 30 workers across a variety of long-term commercial projects, including retail interior tenant improvements, retail centers, restaurants, medical and healthcare facilities, and office buildings. This role requires on-site supervision, ensuring safety compliance, high quality standards, and effective coordination among subcontractors and project teams while maintaining clear communication with clients. The superintendent will report directly to the Project Manager and Construction Director and manage travel within the local region as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Coordinate scheduling and workflow among workers and subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve on-site issues promptly
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and project stakeholders
• Monitor quality control measures throughout project phases
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to Project Manager and Construction Director
• Travel locally between project sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Experience with budget management and scheduling software
• Proven leadership skills managing medium-sized teams
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• Commitment to quality assurance and subcontractor coordination
