Job Overview MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel RN Oncology for a 13-week assignment in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Key Details Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Qualifications Active RN license Degree from an accredited nursing program BLS & ACLS certifications At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute‑care oncology setting Other requirements to be determined by the client facility Duties & Responsibilities The Oncology RN will care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement symptom‑treatment methods, and monitor patient progress. Oncology nurses create a supportive environment and may specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer. Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, usually focusing on the acute phase. Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment, including administering chemotherapy. Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.
