# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** August 17, 2026 **Location:** Smyrna, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Every other weekend required; 39-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratios (surge bed assigned to each section)**Highlights:** - Work in a well-supported Emergency Department with dedicated resources including free lead nurse, unit clerks, sitters for behavioral health patients, paramedics, EMTs, and LPNs- Gain experience with critical patients including STEMI, stroke, sepsis protocols, and trauma cases- Utilize advanced equipment including rapid infuser and Glidescope technology- Documentation via Meditech EDM system- Perform advanced procedures including intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting- Recognition-focused culture with Employee of the Month program and Patient Experience recommendations**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state eligibility)- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI required- Demonstrated experience with critical care drips, sedation protocols, ESI triage, and code response- Preferred experience with STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma patient populations- Adherence to facility dress code (charcoal grey scrubs)**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This Emergency Department position offers the chance to work within a collaborative, patient-centered team that prioritizes both clinical excellence and compassionate care.
