Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include production line equipment, forklifts or other power equipment. Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently following the Company Safety Policy, including the lock out/tag out process. Perform manual tasks such as: loading and supplying production line items, reworking product and loading conveyors. Quality Assurance and testing compliance according to Company and/or designated facility standards. Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up (5S). Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other Operators. Cross-train in other areas to support operations during downtimes. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Production experience, preferably in a food and beverage environment. Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency. Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment. Physically able to safely lift bottles and equipment weighingup to 50 pounds. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends. Ability to inspect materials visually and by sense of smell. PPE Required (safety shoes, hair nets, goggles, ear plugs). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions (depending on location) that include inclement weather such as rain, snow, or extreme temperatures, heat, and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times.
