Step into a role where your expertise powers progress and your potential finds room to thrive.SUMMARY OF POSITION:Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Supervisor ensures the production of company products at the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws to include training employees, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Supervision of team engaged in manufacturingPrioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the systems integration and functions to ensure the production of company products at the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and proceduresPlan production schedules, review component parts, and sub-assembly availability against build schedule, make schedule adjustments as neededEnsure adherence to ISO 9001 procedures and requirementsRecommend and implement departmental policies and procedures, processes, and methodsContinually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, utilization of people, and quality of productAct as technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving work problemsMaintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order as necessaryAssure compliance with quality company standardsComplete reports on production performance and drive continuous improvement with dataEnsure compliance with departmental housekeeping standards, and all safety and work rules and regulationsOther duties as assigned or requiredQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.Requires an Associate's degree in Manufacturing and 5-10 years related experience in manufacturing2-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment requiredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, Maintenance instructions, and procedures manualStrong leadership skills & problem solving skillsMechanical aptitude & experience in inspection methodsSkills in metal fabrication preferredComputer proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & OutlookPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
