Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing client assessments to evaluate health status and care needs.

Develop and implement individualized care plans in accordance with client needs and physician orders.

Provide skilled nursing care, including IV infusion therapy, medication administration, and catheter management.

Establish, maintain, and monitor IV lines while ensuring safe and effective infusion therapy.

Provide wound care, including wound assessment, cleaning, dressing changes, and infection prevention.

Monitor vital signs, identify changes in client conditions, and promptly report concerns to the Supervising Nurse and physician.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of nursing services in electronic medical records.

Provide guidance and support to LPNs and Home Care Aides as directed by the Supervising Nurse.

Ensure high-quality, client-centered nursing care in alignment with Nurse Next Door Northern Virginia's brand promise and standards.

Provide nursing services throughout McLean, Oakton, Vienna, Reston, Falls Church, Herndon, and Great Falls, Virginia.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 12 years in home care or a related setting preferred.

Proven experience in IV line establishment and IV infusion therapy.

Experience with PICC lines.

Experience with NG tube insertion and J-Peg tube care.

Experience inserting and managing Foley catheters.

Experience in wound dressing and wound care.

Current USA, Virginia RN license in good standing.

Current TB screening and criminal background check.

Valid BLS Certification (preferred).

Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English; other languages are an asset.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Ability to commute to or relocate to McLean, VA.
