POSITION SUMMARY:

The Glass Handling Specialist is an essential job function to the success of Mygrant Glass. Glass Handling Specialists operate material handling equipment to select, stock, and organize product as well as hand-handle materials to stage at appropriate load sites. Glass Handling Specialists are responsible for timely and accurately selecting and stocking product to best achieve key performance indicators, directly impacting our customer service oriented goals. Select incoming pick ticketsaccording using RFID technology to accurately fulfill customer orders. Prepares, packs, and scans (asappropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and deliveryin accordance withestablished standards. Quickly and accurately receive, process and store incoming auto glass product shipments. Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are documented and recorded. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary. Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verifyaccurateand full delivery. Verifies vendor part number and MGC stock number for all incoming products. Prepares receiving reports and notes any shortages,damagesor overages. Promptly reports any discrepancies to supervisors. Stores incoming products in proper location according to bin number or product sequence. Determinesproper bin number and/or location of incoming products. Verifies actual counts of stock against CORE inventory. Investigates and reports discrepancies. Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely andin accordance withorganizational procedures. Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications Break down boxes, stock accessories and organize inventory as directed Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards. Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.

OTHER DUTIES:

Aid in prepping, inspecting,labelingand loadingsafelymaintain KPI objectivesand limit breakage. Loads delivery vehicles andassistscustomers with will call pickups. Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries, transfers or assigned maintenance Processes customer returns. Ensures returns are in sellable condition per company policy. Verifies that warranty paperwork has been properly and neatly filled out. Initiates warranty return process, and stages product in warranty area. Processes documentation necessary to ship transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests and other necessary documents. Performs cycle counting on assigned items in order to keep accurate records of inventory. Perform other job tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in a warehouse environment Familiar with modern warehouse software with basic computer skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills Detail and Safety oriented with a mind for accuracy Exceptional time management skills, punctual with stellar attendance A beginner’s mindset that is coachable and open to feedback Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, and or take direction in an ever-changing working condition Ability to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid driver’s licensepreferred CMV DOT Medical Card preferred Pass and maintain Forklift certification 2+ years warehouse or equivalent experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is considered as safety sensitive position. It requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.
