CT Technologist - Eastowne “Join the exceptional Diagnostic Radiology team at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina! We're looking for a motivated, team-oriented technologist to join our overnight team and play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care while the rest of the city sleeps. This full-time position offers a Tuesday through Friday schedule from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, providing a consistent four-day workweek with three consecutive days off every week. Call and holiday responsibilities are rotated fairly among the team, ensuring a balanced approach while supporting our 24/7 operation. As part of our team, you'll provide imaging services for a busy 660-bed hospital, supporting patients across the Emergency Department, inpatient units, the Operating Room, Endoscopy, Fluoroscopy, and other critical hospital services. Overnight imaging is essential to patient care, and your expertise will help ensure timely diagnoses when they're needed most. Summary: Conducts procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. Handles patient identification, image acquisition, contrast administration, and image transfer to result in accurate diagnoses. Responsibilities: Patient Identification – verifies patient identity, obtains patient history, assists patients and family members that require extra attention, ensures safety. CT Scans – obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi‑planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, and selects appropriate window and level settings. Contrast – administers oral or rectal contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establishes intravenous lines, delivers IV contrast following safe procedures, checks lab values before contras injection. Image Transfer – maintains thorough understanding of PACS, transmits images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS, verifies and segments images at QC station, accesses IMPAX tools, and cancels duplicate orders to avoid billing errors. Other Duties – performs tasks in a timely manner, runs the schedule, volunteers for challenging tasks, maintains a clean work environment, documents incidents for improvement, and precepts new employees and students.
