Creative Director

We're looking for a Creative Director to develop and own how Doctronic shows up in the world. As the creative leader, you'll drive how we tell our story across channels, including brand, social, paid campaigns, video, and the founder and team storytelling that demonstrates the care and rigor we put into our products and offering. From patients to prospective client partners, the work has to earn peoples' trust.

What You'll Do

Build the brand

• Own Doctronic's visual and verbal identity everywhere it appears
• Build on our brand strategy and initial identity work to create a system our team and agency partners use across their work
• Drive the art direction, casting, and photography standards, and templates a distributed team can use without you in the room
• Know how and when to leverage AI and when not to (i.e. all people in our marketing should be real people)

Set the standard for campaign and performance creative

• Own the creative standard for brand and performance media, ensuring all work advances our brand
• Build the concepts and formats the growth team iterates against, so testing volume comes from a strong source
• Work with the internal team and outside partners on campaign work, and keep it recognizably ours

Make the work and build the team

• This role is for a hands-on player-coach who is as comfortable leading a team as with doing the work
• Direct a distributed bench of internal and external creative partners, and raise the quality of what we ship
• Build a modern, highly AI-enabled, in-house creative team over time

Who You Are

• 12+ years in creative direction, including 4+ leading a creative team or function
• Super collaborative, innovative thinker who builds the culture that fosters creative to drive attention, distribution, and business
• You've shepherded a consumer and b2b brand and shipped powerful, impactful work across mediums
• You've directed agencies and production partners, and gotten better work out of them than the brief could picture
• Documentary, testimonial, and unscripted work with real people, including directing experts who are not performers
• Fluent enough in performance creative to know what a winning ad looks like before the spend confirms it

Nice to have

• Agency and in-house experience
• Healthcare, or another sensitive, regulatory category
• You use AI tooling to expand what a small team can produce, with the judgment to know what should stay unmistakably human
