Host/Hostess

LAS MARACAS

Westwego, LA

Las Maracas in Westwego, LA is looking for a part time host/hostess to join our team. We are located on 27 Louisiana St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Seat Guests
  • Assist with Takeout & To-Go pickup orders.
  • Greet customers making them feel welcome
  • Estimate wait time for guests and inputing their info into our waitlist system
  • Keep menu's cleaned and organized.
  • Ensure silverware is rolled and ready for guests
  • Keep the rugs and floor around door exits clean and clear
Qualifications
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational and motivational skills
Must be willing and able to:
  • Perform more than one task at a time.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions.
  • Report to work in a complete required uniform.
  • Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant.
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
  • Be courteous, friendly and pleasant.
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. via food or beverage trays or required equipment needed to perform specific job duties.
  • Safely transport items to and from kitchen on a slick uneven surface.
  • Lift and carry multiple plates from kitchen to dining room.
  • Safely move about in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, and wipe.
