Operational Technology Systems Engineer

Salary: $134,100 - 149,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a technical discipline plus 7 years of relevant experience in operational technology, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• Alternatively, we accept an associates degree in engineering or another related technical area with 8 years of applicable experience.
• We require the ability to meet minimum access or unescorted access standards, as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination or testing aligned to the role.
• We expect strong expertise in technical problem solving, solution design, and issue resolution within OT environments.
• We look for deep knowledge of plant operational technology systems, applicable industry codes, and regulations.
• We value experience with emerging application, hosting, and OT-related technologies, as well as the ability to work independently at a senior level.

• We provide advanced technical support and consultation to diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues.
• We design, configure, deploy, and operate OT systems and applications, including support for application migrations to new platforms.
• We partner with leadership, project teams, support teams, and end users to assess feasibility, maintain availability, and support performance goals.
• We develop future technology road maps, resource plans, migration approaches, and project schedules.
• We prepare technical documentation such as installation, replacement, and upgrade instructions, as well as requirements documents, statements of work, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• We provide input on risks identified through business impact analysis, site risk reviews, and disaster recovery planning.
• We stay current on evolving technologies, industry trends, and OT platform and application developments.
• We independently carry out OT systems engineering work and share expert knowledge with others on the team.
• We review and approve OT system design and configuration deliverables and support software solution development in line with approved processes.
• We assist with installation, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing performance improvement for OT systems and components.
• We may also be assigned emergency response, department coverage, callout support, and outage-related work as needed.
