Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology
An Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse assists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care in a specialized radiology suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures such as angiography, embolization, or biopsies.
- Monitor vital signs and sedation, alerting the radiologist to any changes.
- Maintain a sterile field and assist with device management.
- Educate patients about procedure steps, potential risks, and recovery.
- Document procedural details and coordinate post-procedure care instructions.
Work Environment:
- Within hospital radiology or imaging departments.
- Requires technical proficiency with imaging equipment and contrast media.
- Involves close collaboration with radiologists, technologists, and other specialists.

Minimum 2 years of experience required. Provides specialized care for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures by assessing, preparing, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, administering medications, managing IV lines, educating families, and assisting the radiologist in a fast-paced environment.
