Emergency Department Registered Nurse

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong assessment, nursing judgment, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Schedule

11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend rotation.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong assessment, nursing judgment, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Respond to emergency situations with a focus on patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and certification verification required.
• Completion of all required human resource and compliance documentation prior to onboarding.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
