Job Description Plan and build a variety of components used in mold tool design, maintaining tight tolerances of +/- 0.001" as required and more. Competitive Compensation based on experience Level 2: $27 – $35 per hour Level 3: $30 – $45 per hour Work Schedule:Full-time, 1st shift, Monday to Friday, withovertime opportunities available. Responsibilities Precision Machining:Plan and build a variety of components used in mold tool design, maintaining tight tolerances of +/- 0.001" as required. Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints to guide the machining process accurately. Collaborative Design Input:Work closely with the engineering team to provide input on tooling design, enhancing manufacturing feasibility. CNC and EDM Support:Assist CNC and EDM staff to meet tooling requirements efficiently. Quality Assurance:Analyze Blue Light Inspection reports with engineering to ensure tools meet specified requirements. Project Management:Oversee the build of tooling to meet customer deadlines. Wax Press Operation:Operate the Wax Press Injection System and troubleshoot injection issues as needed. Safety and Housekeeping:Adhere to common safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices. Continuous Improvement:Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Requirements Experience: 3 – 10+ years of experience in core/wax die/mold building with high precision and tolerance; journeyman mold maker experience required. Education:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program. Technical Skills:Proficiency with common tool room equipment (knee mills, bed mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses) and measurement tools (calipers, indicators, depth mics). Blueprint Literacy:Ability to read and interpret mold design prints. Communication:Strong communication skills and effective coordination with peers. Time Management:Excellent time management skills with an independent work mindset. Mechanical Aptitude:Strong mechanical aptitude and accuracy. Computer Skills:Basic computer proficiency.
