Production Development Technician/Trainer - Bar Machines

This position reports to: Production Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the success of the busway manufacturing plant in Selmer, TN.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
  • Supporting production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
  • Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
  • Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.

Qualifications for the Role

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years of previous manufacturing experience required and prefer experience with bar cutting machinery or complex assembly work
  • Ability to read blueprints is required
  • Must be able to fill in as needed in operators absence
