We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a university environment in Norfolk, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience while managing high-volume calls and assisting with routine administrative needs. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a busy setting.
Responsibilities:• Welcome students, staff, visitors, and faculty members while maintaining a courteous and organized front-desk presence.
• Manage incoming calls through a multi-line phone system, direct inquiries to the appropriate departments, and take accurate messages when needed.
• Respond to general questions in person and by phone, providing clear information and escalating issues appropriately.
• Support daily administrative activities such as scheduling, record handling, and basic office coordination.
• Maintain an orderly reception area and help ensure visitors are assisted promptly upon arrival.
• Track and relay important communications to internal teams to support smooth office operations.
