Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Electrical Engineer I supports electronic design, test, and analysis in support of product development. This is an onsite position located in Zeeland, MI. It is not eligible for hybrid or remote work at this time.WHAT YOU’LL DOPerform electronic design in a cross-functional engineering team to develop and launch new products.Support development of test requirements, methods, and limits to confirm the quality of products during development and mass production.Utilize electrical CAD tools to support electronic design for embedded applications.Utilize electrical design analysis and simulation tools to aid in electronic design and ensure products meet Gentex quality standards.Support debugging and root cause analysis of complex electronic products.Support cross-functional design reviews for electronic schematics and printed circuit board layouts.Work with a mentor to develop engineering capabilities and become proficient in Gentex processes.Evaluate supplier components against internal application requirements.Stay current with technology, manufacturing, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of products, process, and methods.Other duties as assigned.HOW YOU’LL DO ITAnalytical Thinking - Tackling a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.Quality Focus - Promoting and maintaining high standards of work, looking for ways to improve products and services, while encouraging coworkers to do so as well.Communicating effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, considering the unique needs of different audiences.Situational adaptability - Adapting approach and processes to match the shifting demands of different situations.
