Chemical Laboratory Technician

Lab Tech

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and testing industry, is seeking a Lab Tech to join their team. As a Lab Tech, you will be part of the Quality Control Department supporting the testing and analysis team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Pay Range: $18-$22/hr

Shift: 6 am - 230 pm

What's the Job?

• Create monthly lab orders for physical testing and create metal specimens for testing
• Track both physical and analytical tests to ensure they are performed within the required time frame
• Perform various analytical and physical tests including corrosion testing, paint adhesion, and atomic absorption analysis
• Create detailed test reports outlining procedures and results of tests performed
• Review testing records for accuracy and monitor process tank temperatures to ensure compliance with customer specifications

What's Needed?

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical processing laboratories
• Ability to operate corrosion resistance chambers and perform minor maintenance
• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
