Community Liaison
The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Community Liaison based out of Western NC to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Carolina Center is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, The Carolina Center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient's condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.
The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is directly responsible for creating demand for the facility's services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the Community Liaison represents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community. The Account Manager is responsible for implementing the facility's strategic sales plan, enhancing the facility's brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Community Liaison must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication in a fast-paced environment. Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.

Qualifications Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required.
- Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Must posess a valid Driver's License. Prefer knowledge of the North Carolina behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communicaton skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principals; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection analysis and interpretation; record of adherance to deadlines; customer service skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50-100 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday. Ability to express and exchange ideas via spoken language or important spoken instructions to others accurately, sometimes quickly and loudly. Hearing to perceive sound with no less than 40 dBs loss @ Hz,1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction; ability to perceive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound. Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands and fingers. Work requires a minimum standard of visual acuity with or without correction that will enable people in the role to complete administrative and clerical tasks and visually observe patients on the unit and in therapeutic activities. While worker may possibly be subjected to temperature changes, the worker is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside.
