Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, exceptional teamwork, and a commitment to patient-centered care.Unit InformationNumber of Beds: 17 bedsPatient Ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patientsElectronic Medical Records: CernerNurse Aide Support: 1 nurse aide for day shiftsWeekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduleHoliday Requirements: Work will be integrated into the permanent staff rotationScrub Color: NavyFloating: Required to float to tele units with a 1 to 4 ratio, as well as to other medical-surgical floorsShift InformationShifts: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PMOrientation: 1 shift of orientation specific to the unitQualifications2-3 years of experience in a medical-surgical specialtyPrior travel experience is requiredCertifications: BLS requiredNurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry; a dysrhythmia exam will be administeredPatient PopulationCommon diagnoses and types of patients include hip, knee, shoulder, and spinal surgeries, with no IV drips commonly administered during care.Additional NotesThis position does not require a BSN. The unit has a hospitalist on-site 24/7 for patient care. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are also available 24/7.
