Senior Consultant, Controllership - Federal Asset Accounting

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You'll Do

• Prepare and support GPP&E and Inventory valuation packages.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliations across financial and logistics systems; research and resolve variances to meet condensed reporting timelines.
• Design and execute risk assessments to identify process gaps and control needs.
• Perform substantive testing in accordance with the Financial Audit Manual (FAM).
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain documentation and investigate/remediate financial reporting discrepancies.

We work with the CFO, CAO, controller, and treasurer to develop an efficient, high quality, data-driven, tech-enabled controllership and treasury function that empowers our clients to drive more value to their business partners and to their investors.

Qualifications

Required :

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of experience in asset accounting and finance related function in support of federal clients
• 2+ years of audit remediation or financial improvement support
• Active Secret security clearance required
• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week in Prince George County, MD
• Ability to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

• CGFM or CDFM certification
• Experience with Excel or other data analysis tools (e.g., Python, Power Query, and SQL) to consume and analyze large datasets

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $188,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
