Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 18:45 - 07:15

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients in critical conditions. The RN plays a vital role in monitoring, diagnosing, and treating patients' needs, ensuring the highest level of support and care for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill adult patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse required.
• Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates.
