Insurance Claims Specialist

Responsibilities Speak compassionately to homeowners about their homeowner's insurance claims/loss drafts Processing and monitoring all insurance claims/loss drafts Handling of claims funds for disbursements to pay for repairs Develop workable solutions that satisfy our homeowners, our client/investors, and our company Work in multiple systems, such as MS, MSP, and Encompass Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with homeowners about their claims/loss drafts Strong organizational skills A strong work ethic, high integrity, and well-organized mindset The ability to follow instructions but work with minimal direct supervision Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion Requirements Previous Homeowners Insurance experience Mortgage processing experience High-school diploma (or equivalent) Experience working with regulatory guidelines preferred (i.e., FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, HUD, State, Local) Escrow processing knowledge At least one year of customer service/clerical/data entry experience preferred Thorough knowledge of various mortgage loan types and mortgage servicing procedures Good understanding of RESPA Effective project management skills and the ability to proactively problem solve Ability to pay attention to detail while handling a high volume of work with multiple interruptions Knowledge of Manufactured Housing (Preferred) 2 plus years working knowledge of Encompass (Preferred) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Homeowners Insurance claims processing, mortgage servicing procedures, and regulatory compliance, while effectively managing customer interactions and project timelines.
