Join a dynamic specialty pharmacy team in Rockville, MD, offering a direct hire opportunity for a Certified Pharmacy Technician eager to enhance patient access to specialty medications. This role supports specialty care clinics by managing key pharmacy operations and elevating the patient experience in a fast-growing specialty pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage prior authorizations to ensure timely medication access
• Source and secure financial assistance for patients
• Process pharmacy claims accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate medication dispensing and shipping logistics
• Serve as a vital liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacists to resolve inquiries and improve care
• Provide administrative support including billing and documentation
• Collaborate with the team to develop workflows and enhance specialty pharmacy services

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current technician registration/licensure in Maryland
• National certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
• Prior outpatient or retail specialty pharmacy experience preferred; infusion experience a plus
• Comfortable engaging with patients and healthcare providers both in-person and via phone
• Skilled in specialty medication benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and financial aid processes
• Familiarity with pharmacy and electronic medical record (EMR) systems; experience with EPIC, Cerner, Therigy, or similar highly desirable
• Knowledge of specialty therapeutic areas such as autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology medication management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of assisting with provider appeals
• Collaborative mindset with strong professionalism and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to 10-15% of the time
