Human Resources Operations Specialist

Provide comprehensive HR support across a fast-paced, multi-site, multi-state organization. Serve as a member of the Groundworks HR Operations Center of Excellence and centralized team delivering HR services and Employee Relations. Support HR Generalists with employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, and corrective action. Conduct Employee Relations investigations with detailed documentation. Collaborate with HR teams, Division HR Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Legal. Use Workday to process HR transactions, employee data changes, position management, and onboarding workflows. Support compliance audits and maintain required employment documentation. Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Ensure accurate and timely HRIS transactions while maintaining data integrity. Prepare HR reports and provide insights and trends to drive business objectives. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and job aids. Collaborate on workplace culture and internal communication initiatives. Guide managers and employees through performance appraisal processes. Assist in developing and implementing action plans based on engagement survey results. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 1+ years of HR experience, preferably in a specialist capacity. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite and other data management tools. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience handling employee relations matters and conducting investigations is preferred. Experience in coaching leaders. Proficiency in Workday HRIS, including transaction processing and reporting is preferred. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, and copier. Visual and auditory ability to read and interpret information and communicate effectively with others.
