Summary

CHS Illinois in Sycamore, IL is looking for a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to join our team! This individual would be responsible for helping in our chemical shed, treating seed, as well as other basic operations tasks in addition to driving truck as needed. This is a M-F home daily position with required overtime during our spring and fall busy seasons. The ideal candidate would have their Class A CDL or the ability to obtain (we can assist). Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain strong safety culture. 
• Perform other assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Additional Qualifications

• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card 
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
