Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Myers Counseling Center, you will undertake a range of tasks focused on improving the mental health outcomes of your clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health concerns and developing individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Facilitating therapy sessions for couples and families, addressing issues such as communication difficulties, grief and loss, and conflicts among family members.
\n
• Providing individual therapy for clients, allowing for deeper exploration of personal issues, including adjustment to separation or divorce, emotional trauma, and stress management.
\n
• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities to effectively support your clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as our organization’s policies.

• Participating in bi-weekly peer supervision and team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and enhance professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will work with at Myers Counseling Center represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Your client focus will include:

• Couples navigating the complexities of their relationships, including pre-marital counseling and conflict resolution.

• Families dealing with issues such as blended family dynamics, communication problems, and parenting challenges.

• Individuals experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and issues related to job stress or medical concerns.

• Adolescents and children, requiring tailored approaches to address their unique developmental needs.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates are required to have:

• A valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
