Technical Support Specialist – X-Ray SystemsGarner, NC | On-site preferred; remote may be consideredThe following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.This position follows a hybrid schedule, with four days in the office and the option to work remotely one day per week.Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – X-Ray Systems to join our Service Support team.This role is ideal for someone with strong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving complex equipment issues and working directly with customers. The Technical Support Specialist will provide support for digital radiography (DR) and X-ray systems, helping diagnose and resolve issues involving X-ray equipment, components, software, networks, and related technologies.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving X-ray systems and componentsServe as an escalation point for complex technical support issuesSupport customers, dealers, IT personnel, and internal Service teamsMonitor and manage technical support requests through our service desk ticketing systemDiagnose mechanical, electrical, generator, software, and system-related issuesAssist with domestic and international technical problem resolutionCreate and maintain technical documentation and knowledge resourcesMentor and share technical knowledge with other Support SpecialistsWork cross-functionally with Service, Sales, Development, and other internal teamsIdentify recurring product issues and communicate findings and recommendations to managementSupport training, installations, customer visits, and special projects as neededMaintain accurate service records and provide timely customer follow-upRequirements & QualificationsStrong mechanical and technical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of X-ray systems, including mechanical, electrical, generator, digital, and computed systemsAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical documentation, service manuals, and repair informationUnderstanding of radiology and X-ray principlesWorking knowledge of computer networks and Windows operating systemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong customer focusBachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience3–5 years of experience servicing, installing, troubleshooting, or maintaining X-ray systems and components is preferredCandidates with strong mechanical, electrical, generator, or related equipment troubleshooting experience are also encouraged to applyMedical imaging, technical support, or call center experience is a plusSpanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plusTravelApproximately 10–20% domestic travel may be required for training, installations, customer support, visits to KMHA locations, and Sales/Service conferences.If you have a strong technical background and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment while helping customers solve problems, we'd love to hear from you.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:Choice of three medical plans and two dental plansVision insuranceCompany-paid life and AD&D insuranceSupplemental coverage options, including life, critical illness, accident, and hospital insuranceFlexible spending accounts (FSA) and commuter benefits401(k) with company matchUnlimited flexible time offCompany DescriptionKonica Minolta Healthcare Americas (KMHA) is a leading provider of innovative healthcare technology solutions, including diagnostic imaging and healthcare information technology.
