Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Description

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is an allied health professional responsible for performing diagnostic examinations at the request of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive and noninvasive cardiology procedures, as well as peripheral vascular study procedures. Through the collection and recording of subjective data, the technologist helps establish correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic examinations as directed by the Interventional Cardiologist.
• Collect and document subjective data to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Assist with invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures.

Schedule

This position follows a schedule of 7A to 5:30P with a call commitment of 1 weeknight and 1 weekend per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
• Must maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
