Overview

MetLife Investment Management (MIM), a ~$740B global asset manager, is seeking a Director-level Equity Research Analyst to lead coverage of consumer sector equities. This role plays a key part in generating differentiated investment insights and partnering with portfolio managers to drive portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental analysis on companies and industries within the consumer sector
• Generate high‑conviction investment ideas and recommendations
• Support portfolio construction, monitoring, and risk management
• Present investment research to internal stakeholders and occasionally clients
• Engage with company management and attend industry conferences
• Maintain coverage of ~20–40 securities

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of equity research experience (buy- or sell-side)
• MBA and/or CFA preferred
• Strong knowledge of small and SMID-cap equities
• Experience in consumer sector coverage preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills

Compensation

$140,000 – $200,000 base salary + bonus and long-term incentives
