This hands-on role focuses on supporting field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across a variety of electric distribution infrastructure projects. What You'll Do: Map and inventory existing overhead and underground distribution systems in the field, supporting the design and providing input on system rebuilds and upgrades Identify system and safety issues in electrical systems Coordinate preconstruction meetings between clients and construction contractors Perform construction inspections and spot checks to ensure construction meets design and safety standards Perform post-construction inspections supporting as-builts and ensuring safe and reliable electricity distribution for residential, commercial, and utility clients Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms Maintain detailed records of work performed and maintain strong communication with the office staff What You Bring: High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience with electric overhead and underground distribution systems Strong knowledge of electric distribution systems and equipment, including but not limited to: transformers, insulators, switches, conductor, elbows, and tees Ability to read and interpret electrical distribution job packages Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment Capable of spending significant time in the car while driving to various job sites Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. without accommodation Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License Groundman experience is a plus.
