Finance Manager

Job Duties

Lead Twin Cities R!SE's finance function, overseeing accounting operations, payroll, financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities.

Supervise the Staff Accountant while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented finance team focused on professional growth.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, budgets, dashboards, and management reports to support leadership and Finance Committee decision-making.

Partner with organizational leaders to provide financial guidance, budgeting support, forecasting, and business insights.

Manage grant and restricted-fund financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and stewardship of resources.

Manage government grant budgets, compliance, reporting, reimbursements, reconciliations, audits, and funder requirements while partnering with program staff to ensure accurate and allowable spending.

Coordinate annual audit activities, support Form 990 preparation, and maintain compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, systems, and reporting tools to support organizational effectiveness and accountability.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance finance processes, reporting, efficiency, and organizational decision-making.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

Minimum Experience Required

Five or more years of progressive nonprofit accounting or finance experience.

Supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to lead staff.
