Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe and evidence-based nursing interventions, supporting positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to evaluate patient needs and adjust care strategies accordingly.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise by utilizing clinical pathways and patient education resources.
• Communicate effectively through SBAR and interdisciplinary channels to ensure cohesive care delivery.
• Maintain ongoing professional development through certifications, additional education, and literature review.
• Exhibit leadership by serving as a clinical resource and role model for colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Michigan Registered Nurse license (LARA and Nursys verification required).
• Have at least 2 years of recent, full-time Medical Surgical nursing experience; no float, SDU, or Telemetry assignments considered.
• Hold current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Experience in Level II or I trauma settings is required.
• Be proficient in clinical assessment, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Demonstrate strong time management and team collaboration skills.
