Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working night shifts and offers flexible scheduling options between 36 to 48 hours per week. The candidate will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in an emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic documentation and patient management.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in emergency response and trauma care protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Experience: Experience in an acute care facility is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification at the time of hire is required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required within one year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required at the time of hire.
  • Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during orientation is required.
  • Competency in IV Sedation within six months of hire is required.

Department-Specific Requirements

• Completion of Critical Care Course within one year of hire for Critical Care Units.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within six months of hire for Perinatal departments.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of hire and Advanced Fetal Monitoring within one year of hire for Labor & Delivery department.
• Competency in IV Sedation within six months of hire for PACU/SDS departments.
