Responsibilities Manage your Assembly organization against setting safety, quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your production team. Ensure a safe work environment and behaviors for all team members using a methodical approach to risk identification, mitigation and competence development. Continue the implementation of continuous improvement, which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees. Full accountability and ownership of your team's development, Union relationships, project follow up, midterm road map (0-1 year) and policy deployment from plant to operator level. Inspire and influence through a communicative leadership style with your team and cross functional groups, with 2-way communication and high employee engagement. Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities, how they contribute to the total result and that they are recognized for performance. Develop industrial workforce to secure competence. Assess performance, competencies, and flexibility of employees within the department and initiate appropriate training, counselling, or corrective action to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the employees. Requirements The ideal candidate for this position has an associate's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years' supervision experience in a manufacturing environment OR seven (7) years minimum combined education and supervision experience within a manufacturing environment. We are looking for a goal-oriented leader with a strong drive to deliver and have the ability to continually develop and improve the organization and its employees. Excellent communication skills, including working with cross functional teams, are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships.
