Athletic Trainer

Intern Certified Athletic Trainer – Track & Field/Cross Country, Olympic Sports Start Date - September 1, 2026 or earlier based on availability and ability Position Highlights Work directly under a full-time staff athletic trainer(s) and gain Division I/SEC level sport experience while beginning to make independent clinical decisions with your team and student-athletes. Participate in an intern mentorship program and curriculum focused on your individualized professional and personal development while connecting with full-time sports medicine and performance staff. Experience with supervision opportunities overseeing student workers and masters immersion students. Work collaboratively with team physicians, dietitians, counseling & sport psychologists, strength & conditioning staff, and sport coaches. Exposure, development, and learning experience with administrative tasks, duties, and responsibilities seen at a Division I level. Positions are a 10 to 11-month appointment with an opportunity to earn a stipend up to $35,000 over the duration of the internship (pre-University fringe rate/pre-tax). Alabama state licensure, NATA fees, BOC fees, professional liability insurance coverage, and CPR/ECC course and fees are all covered and paid for by the athletics department during the internship. CEU opportunities offered if there is an availability to do so during the duration of your internship. Multiple camp opportunities for extra hourly pay during summer of arrival and following summer.
