Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Austin, Texas. This 13-week contract involves day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with on-call requirements. The role requires working in a Level 4 NICU setting, providing specialized neonatal care, with an emphasis on teamwork and positive attitude to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/07/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, 2 years of NICU experience, at least 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience, educational requirements consistent with RN licensure, and minimum 1 year of professional experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced neonatal procedures, strong team player with a positive attitude, familiarity with Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable working with advanced equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps. The unit values team collaboration, a positive demeanor, and flexibility with change. Dress code for staff includes navy scrub colors; unacceptable attire includes casual clothing or items that do not follow hospital dress protocols.
• Note: Permanent night and weekend shifts are available, with the unit consisting of a staff of over 200 healthcare professionals, including RNs, RTs, and unit assistants. The unit handles patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 4:1 and is equipped with Issolattes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and more.
