Step Into a Day in Our Lab

Picture this: You arrive at SCREW MACHINE PRODUCT COMPANY in Euclid, OH 44132, open your bench notebook, and begin verifying a critical production sample. You follow established test protocols, capture precise measurements, and compare results against engineering specs and blueprints. When a reading looks off, you partner with teammates to troubleshoot, using your analytical eye to pinpoint and resolve the issue. Before you wrap up, you document findings, keep the workspace orderly, and ensure the lab is inspection-ready.

What You’ll Tackle

• Execute laboratory tests and inspections in accordance with defined procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with peers to diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting product quality.
• Read and interpret documents including blueprints, engineering specifications, and related quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab and follow best practices for safety and housekeeping.

Your Toolkit

• Hands-on experience with inspection tools: Calipers, Depth Micrometer, Optical Comparator, Dial Indicator, Snap gages, and Rockwell Hardness Tester.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering specifications.
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
• Competent computer skills for data entry and reporting.
