The Direct Care Worker provides essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role involves delivering compassionate care, assisting with medication administration, and supporting clients emotionally and physically in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily activities
- Assist with medication administration as directed
- Support personal hygiene and grooming needs
- Accurately document care and report changes in condition
- Manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Offer emotional support and foster positive communication
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care
- Attends residents outings
- Transport residents occasionally to/from school, outings, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in direct care
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Ayanti RTC is an all-girls facility dedicated to providing treatment services to youth with emotional troubles, autism spectrum, human trafficking victims and survivors, substance use, complex mental health issues, and intellectual disabilities.
