Washington County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire a part-time cook for the detention facility.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Works under the supervision of the Food Service Director.  Assist in the preparation and service of food portions and maintenance of cafeteria work areas and equipment in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Assist in cooking, baking, meat cutting, store keeping, and food service.

·         Stock storeroom, freezers, coolers with supplies when delivered form venders.

·         Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

·         Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, tables and counters.

·         Wash pots, pans, trays and dishes.

·         Maintain the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.

·         Assumes responsibility for knowing and following the safety rules associated with the responsibilities of their jobs.

·         Observe all state and local regulations relating to food service operation.

·         Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of food service and cafeteria style kitchens.

Ability to take direction.

Ability to follow safety rules.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR EXPERIENCE:

·         Possess High School Degree or equivalent
