This full-time contract position, located near Star City, AR, offers you the opportunity to make a lasting difference at a single school site, working from approximately 7:45am to 3:45pm each day. You'll be part of a passionate educational team, providing support for students who greatly benefit from individualized instruction and specialized strategies.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Experience working with K-3rd grade or similar age groups preferred
• Background supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities in a self-contained setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt curriculum and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with moderate/severe disabilities
• Modify and adapt lessons and classroom activities as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to support student growth and development
• Track student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
• Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team activities
