INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

Curriculum Area Manager
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Curriculum Area Manager of the Director, HQ AFOATS Curriculum Division (AFOATS/ CR). This position serves as the primary curriculum development support for AFROTC and OTS academic programs.
- Serves as a faculty instructor in all areas of instructor training for AFOATS including educational methods, communications skills, educational foundations, evaluations and instructional design.
- Reviews core curriculum and makes recommendations of learning objectives, course content, methodology, textbook design, evaluation instruments, editing and production, and other related aspects of curriculum development.
- Conducts research and maintains professional relationships.
- Major participant in instructor professional development.
- Identifies and informs supervisor of anticipated vacancies, personnel shortfalls, workload changes and other factors affecting staff replacements or additions in a timely manner.
- Functions as an AFOATS Student Evaluation Officer.
