Assistant Store Manager

$11.13 - $22 per hour

Compensation Pay Range $11.13 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Job Overview The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds are issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, specifically adhering to the posted work schedule, approving changes or deviations by a member of management, and clocking in/out accordingly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing delivery vehicle(s). Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
