JOB DETAILS Position Title IE Specialist Location Texas Gulf Coast Functionally Reports into Superintendent FLSA Status Non-exempt JOB OBJECTIVE The IE Specialist will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, research and development, or other industries. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all instrumentation equipment is properly functioning and accurately measuring the required parameters. REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE Must have5+ years’ experience in instrumentation. Must be able to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be willing to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines. Must be willing toassistin anyadditionalqualified duties assigned. Must be NCCER Certified and have TDLR. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must pass drugtestand backgroundcheck. KNOWLEDGE Will read prints and P&IDs to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work. Will work with piping systems to install instrumentationforthe system to work properly, be controlled, and/ormonitored. Will work with precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and to adjust installed electrical and piping components. Will work with the installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications. Required to have all journeymen toolsand haveexperience with associated power tools. Must be able to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing. Must be able to check performance using testing and measuring. Instruments and make necessary adjustments. Prioritizesandplanswork activities. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma and EHS field experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employeewillbe requiredto adhere tolarge amountsof standing, walking, bending, squatting,sittingand lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, andpull: objects, materials,controlsand tools. May berequiredto pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally workoff ofplatforms/scaffolding using theappropriate fallprotection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearingappropriate PPE. Will berequiredto wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limitedto:hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leatherglovesand leather steel-toed work boots.
