At Chick-fil-A, the Shift Leader role is more than just a job; it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent Owner/Operator, Shift Leaders gain life experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. Shift Leaders direct each shift by guiding the team to provide great food in a clean and safe environment while maintaining a fast and accurate experience for every guest that comes through.

Kitchen Shift Leader Responsibilities:
- Provide great food to guests
- Honor and encourage others to follow the vision and values of the Restaurant
- Multitask quickly, yet thoroughly
- Be team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
- Focus on food safety, accuracy, taste, and presentation of food
- Able to provide direction and delegation to all team members to ensure the shift runs smoothly
- Open or close the store safely
- Assist in training new team members
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Consistency and reliability
- Cheerful and positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
- Have the ability to stand for long periods
- Have 1 year of leadership experience
- Become an expert in all BOH areas
Availability Requirements:
- Maintain 3 days a week (20 hours minimum) year-round
- Able to work at least 2 Saturdays per month
- Be able to open (5:30 AM start) or close (11:00 PM end)
