Project Engineer

About the role A typical day for a Project Engineer includes assisting project leaders, managing budget and procurement, and maintaining strong client and trade relationships. Reports to Project Manager Purpose Learn fundamentals of staff and resource management and assist the project team to ensure quality work is performed timely and cost-effective. Job Duties Assist the project leader and superintendent with budgeting, bidding, buyouts, certifications of occupancy, and project accounting. Manage submittals, RFIs, closeouts, as-built, and shop drawings. Ensure equipment and material arrive at the jobsite per schedule. Complete procurement log and submittals in a timely manner. Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook. Follow Graham core process, including jobsite checklists. Maintain great relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and other industry representatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred) or associate's degree or equivalent experience. Great verbal and written communication skills. Extremely detail-oriented. Strong leadership skills. Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass post-offer employment testing and drug test. Ability to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather. Ability to work in a noisy environment. Ability to work within Graham Construction operational regions as assigned.
