Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a hardworking team of facilities specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will play a critical role in the daily operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art HVAC and other environmental control systems. With nearly 2M square feet of buildings and 500 acres of property and associated utilities, you will not only be responsible for the HVAC and their associated controls, but also in responding to trouble calls where your skills may also apply.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairRepairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixturesWorking on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occursMaintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyManage and track service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reportingSupport company events and assist with small facility-related projectsInstall, repair, and maintain fixtures, furnishings, equipment, and interior/exterior finishesIdentify and mitigate safety hazards to maintain compliance with workplace safety standardsPerform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and future repair needsAssist with facility improvements such as painting, sealing, and minor construction tasksQualifications:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable.Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands.Must be able to push, pull.Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces.Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel.Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels.Exposure to outdoor elements.Use various tools to include standard electronic hand tools, precision measuring instruments, shop equipment (drill press, grinder, saws, etc.), fabrication equipment (wire-wrap, crimp, and solder station), as necessary to accomplish assigned work.Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms.Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.Ability to work with little or no supervision.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationshipsStrong problem-solving skills.Willingness and ability to advance.Safe work habits.Self-motivated individual.Strong attention to detail and safety awarenessSelf-motivated with a proactive work ethicAdaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to build positive working relationships and collaborate across teamsWork Environment & Schedule:Full-time position (40 hours/week)Flexible scheduling required, including weekendsMay involve extended shifts (up to 12 hours) based on operational needsSchedule can change to support launches.Culture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
