Technical Project Manager

Job Title: Technical Project Manager – AS400 | ETL | Power BI (C2C) Work Authorization H1B and Green Card candidates are welcome to apply. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with 8–12 years of overall IT experience , including 5+ years managing technical projects , to lead enterprise data modernization initiatives involving IBM AS400 (IBM i) , ETL pipelines , and Microsoft Power BI . This role requires a strong combination of project leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management to successfully deliver large-scale infrastructure and data engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Lead modernization and integration projects involving IBM AS400 (IBM i) environments. Manage end-to-end ETL/ELT initiatives from planning through deployment. Oversee the development and delivery of executive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and infrastructure teams. Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation strategies, and risk mitigation plans. Manage project delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Provide regular project status updates to business stakeholders and executive leadership. Required Skills & Experience 8–12 years of overall IT experience. 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience leading enterprise IT or data engineering initiatives. Hands-on experience managing projects involving IBM AS400 (IBM i) or similar legacy midrange systems. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and Data Engineering concepts. Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Apache NiFi , or similar platforms. Experience overseeing Microsoft Power BI implementations and executive reporting environments. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project , or similar project management tools. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading enterprise legacy modernization initiatives. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
