Position Title Senior Director Commercial Real Estate Location Hicksville, NY 11801 Job Summary A Sr Director – Commercial Real Estate is responsible for managing a team focused on new business development, portfolio management, credit quality, and overall relationship management of their assigned portfolio of customers. Ensures revenue generation by cultivating commercial real estate account relationships and maintaining strong credit quality thresholds. Acts as the escalation point for any complex or challenging relationships or transactions. Job Responsibilities Infuse the team’s network of clients and centers of influence with fresh prospects to expand opportunities. Serve as an escalation point for client relationships, addressing issues and removing obstacles to ensure smooth and beneficial transactions. Manage client relationships personally or as needed. Assist team with revenue generation, deposit gathering, and fee production. Work with product partners on cross‑sell efforts to deepen relationships and improve profitability. Monitor and coach team performance, ensuring relationships are created and maintained and goals achieved. Take corrective actions when goals are not met and leverage expertise to develop an outstanding team. Attract, develop, coach, hire, train, and oversee employee performance, salary administration, and employee relations issues. Partner with Commercial Banking management to create a strategic plan for the assigned commercial group. Establish KPIs and metrics, create action plans, set and track individualized goals, and forecast results for management. Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with product teams to enhance commercial banking products to meet evolving client needs. Ensure proactive monitoring of the credit quality of the portfolio through financial statement gathering and compliance monitoring. Partner with the credit team to recommend appropriate corrective actions. Perform special projects and additional duties as required. Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies, complete required compliance trainings, and maintain compliance with applicable laws. Job Requirements Education: Undergraduate degree required; master’s degree preferred. Experience: 15+ years in commercial real estate and/or commercial lending (production or credit roles). Preferred Qualifications: Formal credit training. Competencies: Strong relationship management, business development/sales skills, negotiation skills, financial and credit analysis, regulatory compliance knowledge, communication skills, customer service, stakeholder relationship building, and effective collaboration.
