Financial Analyst

Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Financial Analyst to support the business and finance teams, with a focus on supporting the financial planning efforts of P&L consolidation. This role will focus on both core financial planning cycles, including Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts and Annual Operating Plans, as well as ongoing controllership. Key job responsibilities Support month end, quarterly, annual operating financial planning working cross functionally with various teams, including Prime Video finance, accounting, and business operations Ensure data is accurately reflected in financial planning systems, including Essbase and Cognos Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership Ad hoc project support on company-wide strategic initiatives Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of finance experience 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills Experience using data to influence business decisions Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting Preferred Qualifications: Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients, or experience in finance roles Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
